Meet the Staff of Jefferson Community Preschool

STEPHANIE CRIPE is the lead teacher for the MWF class. This is her 4th year at JCPS. She is an active member of Jefferson Community Church. She is married to Tom. They have 3 children, Donavin (15), Aubre (12) and Leah (10). She enjoys spending time outdoors camping, fishing and hunting. She loves to journal and spend time growing in God’s word. She is looking forward to what the Lord has for her in the years to come. 
SUSAN CARPENTER is the assistant for the MWF classes. This is her 7th year at the Preschool. She comes from nearly 20 years as a Teacher/Aide at Walnut Hill Early Childhood Center in Goshen. She has been married to her husband Ron for 11 years. Susan has a BS in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten endorsement from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. She is a lifetime member of Jefferson Community Church where she is actively involved in the PowerPoint Ministry and Childcare. She enjoys homemaking, needlepoint, reading, Notre Dame Football and College Basketball. Susan is glad to be able to share Jesus through this ministry. 
HEIDI TACY is the lead teacher for the T/TH class and second assistant for the MWF classes. This is her 1st year at JCPS. Miss Heide comes from a teaching background in Home schooling for more than three years. She has worked with a previous ministry and homeschool co-op in the local area. She enjoys fellowshipping, spending time with her two young children Abigail (6) and Jamie Ray (5), and sharing her story of her personal walk with Jesus when she isn’t self publishing her most recent non fiction novels. She believes in the Power of Love through Faith and Happily Ever After’s. 
BETH RHUDE is a standby substitute and this is her 11th year helping with our preschool. She has been married for 40 years, has 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren who all live out of the Goshen area. She has been an active member of Jefferson Community Church for over 30 years. Over the years she has helped in the nursery, taught children’s classes & youth, and helps with our children’s Christmas program. Her current ministry at JCC involves serving as deaconess, teaching & helping with the youth program, serving on worship team, Children’s Leadership Team and in our preschool. She loves to spend time with her grandchildren when she can, camping, read, and play any type of sport or game. She is so excited to see where God will use her in the year ahead! 
JOELLEN ALLISON is a standby substitute and this is her 6th year with JCPS. Joellen is excited to be subbing for all of the classes of JCPS! She also works at LYNC ministry in the before and after school programs. She has been married to Dave for 49 years. They enjoy motorcycling, traveling and enjoying all God’s creation. She especially likes gardening. Joellen has helped in children’s ministry at Jefferson Community Church teaching Sunday school, helping with Christmas programs and God’s Trekkers scripture study program for kids on Wednesday nights. She also assists with infants and toddlers in the nursery. The preschool is an important ministry and she is looking forward to serving. 
NANCY COBB is in her 9th year as a standby substitute. Her compassionate heart has made her a lifetime caregiver to the elderly and disabled. She and her husband, Charlie, have been married for 26years! For the past several years she has been led to teach in JCC’s Sunday School (which uses rotating workshops) and Trekkers (the Wednesday evening children’s program for Bible memory and study.) Nancy also served as a teacher for Jefferson Community Vacation Bible School. She has a natural gift to connect with young people and has been growing in her Early Childhood Education through the experiences at JCPS.   
BILLY HESKETH is in his first year serving as the director for JCPS. Billy joined the staff of JCC as Associate Pastor in December 2018. Billy has been a pastor for more than 25 years with this being a return to Jefferson. Billy also taught public school music prior to entering the ministry. He has been married to Norene for 34 years and has 2 grown daughters and 5 grandchildren. He enjoys family time, travel, music and movies. He is excited about this new opportunity for ministry!
